| Detailed Description: |
We developed these reusable valve cover gaskets for the later Blue-Grey and Black Diamond tilt-valve motors used in Travelalls, pickups, busses, Loadstars, and most other older IHC trucks, as well as some boats and industrial motors and tractors. These are made of 1/4"-thick aramid (the same material used in spark plug wires), a manmade-material which is extremely durable and resistant to oil, gas, grease, and other solvents. Originally designed for the race and high-performance market (where leaks are a definite no-no, and regular teardowns are expected), these are quite stiff with just a touch of yield. These should be installed with a little silicone sealer on both sides, and installed. When you take the valve cover off again, then you just clean it and reuse. The will be the last valve cover gasket you will ever need!
This will fit BD220, BG220, SD220, U220, BD240, BG241, SD240, BD264, BG264, BG265, SD264, BD308, and other similar motors; as long as they have the tilt-valve head. To verify, if your valve cover is 6" wide and 4 1/2" tall, then you have a tilt-valve motor and this will fit. If your valve cover is 5 1/4" wide and 3 3/4" high, then you have a straight-valve motor, and this will not fit. |
