Scout II Transfer Case Trail-Ready Dana 20 - Rebuilt

Catalog Number: SP13648
Years: 1972 - 1979
Vehicles: Scout II
Scout II Diesel
Price: $1390.50 + $300.00 (core)

If you want better gearing for your Scout II for use on the trail, then we have just what you need. We offer you a transfer case that is completely rebuilt to factory specifications with new bearings and seals, and with new gears. The best part is the gears are super-low-ratio gears to give you better crawl ratio for steep inclines or rock crawling. The stock low-range t-case gear ratio in the Dana-20 used in Scout II is 2.03:1. Many people try to find the Dana-300 which was used in Scout II for only one year, that has a ratio of 2.62:1. However, they are difficult to find (taking months to locate), and even used ones are very expensive, and then you still have to get it rebuilt before you use it. (Who knows how well the prior owners treated it?) Our Dana-20 has a 3.15:1 ratio, which is as low as you can go without major modifications and cash outlays. It is also readily available, so you can have it without the wait. Order in now, bolt it right in, and it you can be driving in two weeks! There are no modifications required to install one of these in your truck. Simply bolt it in a go! We can have one of ours built for you, or you can send yours in for us to rebuild. On units that we provide, there will be a core charge, which is refundable when you return your old unit. Please allow at least a week for delivery. For optional twin stick setup, see SP10576.
