Description:
Ready to pass on my 1966 Scout after 36 years since buying it from a hitchhiker in Aspen, CO. He was the second owner and kept it in Aspen for summer use only so it only had 52K on it when I got it. We completely restored it in 2008 to 2010 and did not modified it other than going from the 152 engine with a 3 speed tranny to a 196 with a 4 speed tranny. Since restoring it 12 years ago it has barely been used, less than 5,000 miles and I now tend to spend more time adventure motorcycling.

This is not a show car, basically it has been gone through completely but still has the challenges of being cold blooded. The sportop to body lets a little water in, and only 2 of the 3 doors lock. As well as the door handles being difficult so a lot of the time it is to roll down the window to open the door from the outside, character... right? The other detail I have never been thrilled with is the Durabak 18 paint by Cotel that was a heavy bodied scratch resistant paint that has not done well.

I have all the receipts that add up to $20K plus, manuals, memorabilia, and photos from the restoration and would love to see my longest relationship with a rig go to someone that will enjoy it more than I am at this point. Would love to get what I have into it but am willing to consider offers under $20K ?
